Texas Mesquite Cardinals

Striking Red Cardinals These are naturally colorful red Mesquite mobiles based on the bright red Cardinals that we frequently see here in south Texas in the summertime. They are made entirely out of local Honey Mesquite, and show the strong red-brown color and prominent grain patterns of the Mesquite heartwood with occasional flashes of the yellow sapwood. They are approximately 8.5" from bill to tail and 14" from wingtip to wingtip. They are finished with a clear glossy polyurethane. I make each of these birds individually and each is different depending on the grain patterns and various natural imperfections that I find in the wood. If you order one, what you receive will be very similar to those in the photos, but will not look exactly like any one of them.
